One of the things I have been thinking about lately is that perhaps about managing SEO in digital marketing is not all it’s cracked up to be. Why not? Well, here are a few reasons why.
Perhaps one of the most important things you can do for your company is to get it noticed. In fact, you need to concentrate on this point before you even think about anything else, or you’re never going to make much money. So what kind of notice do you want? To get traffic from Google for example, or to get traffic from other companies that are looking to get traffic from you.
When you’re talking about getting traffic from Google, you’re trying to get their attention for the sales. Of course they will pay attention to you, but you’ve got to make sure that you’re worth their time. If you’re offering something valuable, something they can’t get anywhere else, they’ll be back for more and maybe even purchase from you.
That’s how I look at it, anyway. At least in terms of SEO. You see, if you’re offering something valuable, you’re already halfway there.
Successful sites are often based on an idea, but also on a great and passionate marketer. For example, you might have an article on something, or maybe a YouTube video. You see, SEO just isn’t about keywords, and that’s the part that most people don’t understand. If you can add a great keyword, maybe something like “busy-ness” in Google or Bing, people will find you and search forit. Now the keywords aren’t important, but it does help when they’re there.
I say that in case of keyword articles (which are really small), that you should try to get in the organic search results, but that your articles should also attract other sites to link to them. That’s the foundation of your online presence.
Also, another thing about SEO, which is probably one of the biggest mistakes I see people make, is that they use too many keywords in a web page. It’s really bad, but I see people doing it every day. Try using fewer, smaller keywords, but make sure that they’re still easy to remember.
